Well I was looking for a copy of Windows 7 to buy for my mother. She wanted to get it cheap so I found this site *reference removed by moderators*[/url].

Anyways its seems to good to be true but I gave it a shot. I'm downloading the Iso now named microsoft.windows.7.ultimate.x86.iso which is fine. What worries me is before I payed it never said if it was an OEM version or if it had a seperate serial. Infact it said nothing but Windows 7 Ultimate.

The one I purchased it on the front page btw. After I payed the download page says this
"Attention! Please, read GENERAL OEM SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION TIPS before You start."

    "Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit)
Serial number: There is a build-in key"

Will it be ok? gonna burn the iso and give it a shot soon.

    This is not legit software.
    --> Protect Yourself from Piracy

And what's more evil: I can buy a legit system builder version for roughly the same price from reputable vendors - with install media and CoA

A quick Google check indicates these folks are NOT legit.

well thats where i failed i googled *reference removed by moderators* and got nothing. now that i googled *reference removed by moderators* or w/e i see some evidence of non legit.

Anyways *reference removed by moderators* after reading that i feel a lil better as it worked fine for some people and others who requested a refund got it. So hopefully it will be ok either way.

Sorry, but all references to that website are being removed. There is absolutely NO way they are dealing with legit goods. You just bought yourself a 100% cracked/hacked version that will probably come with some extra 'fun' software and will at some point probably stop working when MS improves their piracy detection techniques. You also might have a copy that intentionally disables W7 updates to try and circumvent that as well.

fun to read with the references removed. while i understand it, i have one problem: this won't prevent a next one to fall for the same trick, as they won't find that page when googling. and that is sad.

Shouldn't the traces to link be left to make sure the next person who wants to check the authenticity can verify it?
Looks like mods don't get the logic...
You can remove the link but at least make sure the name sticks.

We thought about leaving the links up there, but in the end we decided to remove them. Leaving them on our site would help their Google rankings and we don't want that.

That being said, the URL did contain the words '24' and 'downloads'. There was a hyphen in between the links and it was a '.net' domain :p.

There's no question that you'll get your money back. If they don't respond with a refund in short order, simply call your credit card company, and you'll be all set.

no problem. it's fully understandable. it's a typical situation where one has to weight pro and contra.

i saw tech-sawy computer-geeks falling for such frauds. which is very scary. especially when you tell them and they just don't get it (it's cheap. they want cheap.)

sure thing. but they work in the business and help the official non-tech savvy ones. which is the scary part about it.

Well she used a Tax refund card which is pretty much a prepaid visa so i don't know how well it would work calling the card company and trying to get a refund.
