I've noticed one thing with my Windows 7 that is wrong...the Device listing of my laptop under Devices & Printers.

I own a Y510...I'm sure it's not a HUGE problem...but when the laptop is looking for hardware, or hardware updates, it DOES prompt for Thinkpad ones rather than the appropriate Ideapad Y510 drivers.
This bothers me.
Anyone else have this issue, or know how to modify the information?

MS probably detects all Lenovos as Thinkpads. I saw the same thing with my T61.

I'm not an IdeaPad owner, but I am a ThinkPad owner (T400). What's interesting is that in my Devices and Printers, I have a model listed (7417CTO) but it's not recognized as a ThinkPad by name.

Well it isn't Microsoft's fault...they have a database of manufacturers and certain subtypes...but you would think they could at least find Ideapads.
I mean come on...they only make THREE lines of notebooks. -
