I have a lenovo T61 14.1" with Vista running on it. To prolong the battery life, I set the maximum battery life settings so that when it's on battery, the screen would dim down but would brighten up once it is plugged. After saving these settings and rebooting, the original settings take effect again as if I had not changed them. Anybody encountered this too?

    Thanks in advance.

By the way, the same thing happens when instead of rebooting, the laptop sleeps or hibernates.

Is this the ThinkVantage software, or the Vista power plans? Because I've heard they can conflict with each other.

I'm using both. Maybe that's the reason why. Having Thinkvantage is a pain sometimes.

Does anybody know how to disable the Thinkvantage Power Manager?

    Thanks!
