After trying it out for a week, I gave up on my crummy xp home I got with my Lenovo 3000 n100, and installed xp x64 instead.

Most things went along quite nicely. I managed to find drivers to my wifi, lan, graphic driver, BT.. But my sound card is still giving me a hard time. It seems as though windows recognizes a sound card, and I can turn the volume and or down, but no sound comes from the speakers.
I looked in with Everest, and it seems I have a SoundMax High Definition soundcard somewhere in there. There was no place on the Lenovo site where I saw any driver (sound card or other) for xp x64 systems, and I could not get a decent installer for it.

At the moment I am running a System Update, but I only managed to get it running using Compatibily mode to XP. I guess driver it found me is 32 bit driver, and I will end up where I started.

Has anyone here managed to install xp x64 on 3000 n100 somehow? And got the sound to work?

I also have another problem with the integrated camera - the driver for it did contain 64 bit files, and I have an integrated camera icon in my taskbar, but it is mark with a "no entry" sign over it. And when I try to right click and enable the camera, it just disappears, and then pop up again, still carrying the stop sign. I would appreciate a tip on that one as well.

    Thanks in advance.
