Ok guys im having a serious problem here, my y50 doesnt seem like booting. I'm getting this error: Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed.
I tried looking for a solution and some people have said that changing the bios settings to legacy has worked for them but unfortunately not for me. In case anyone is wondering my SSHD is not defective as it is readable in the bios, ive tried messing around with everything but it seems like a hopeless case. Even the nova button for doing a system restore would result in the same boot fault. I would appreciate any help regarding this matter as Lenovo customer support in Egypt isn't really that helpful or cooperative.

Have you changed the sata operation in bios? Try repairing with os disc and running fixmbr , fixboot, rebuildbcd just look up the commands.
