Everytime I open Limewire PRO, Windows Vista Home Premium tells me it's not compatible with some features of Home Premium and it switches to Vista Basic theme. It switches back to the normal theme once I close Limewire. Any clues on why it does that? Is there a way to stop it from doing so?

some programs aren't compatible with the aero theme i think 3d studio max does it for me

I'm running LimeWire on Vista Home Premium right now, without that issue... It may be because I have transparency turned off under the Desktop>Personalize menu.
Many programs not specifically designed for Vista will have compatibility issues with the transparency effects or any other colour scheme but basic. So, I leave my colour scheme on basic, and turn off transparency, and have very, very few problems. I suggest doing the same!!! -
or another option is any program you have a problem with right click on the icon go properties, compatibility tab, check disable desktop composition and visual themes. this will automatically put you in visa basic theme when you open the program and automatically take you out when you quit the program.

Okay, so there's no solution to the problem, right? You can't get Limewire to accept the transparent theme.
It's automatically switching to the Basic theme when I open Limewire and switches back when I close it. It's not that big of a deal. I just get hurried when I have LimeWire open to switch back to the nice transparency...! -
I had the same problem with Fireworks.

What version do you have? Mine is 4.12.15 and it works perfectly fine with Aero.
Upgrade your Java VM, afaik, Limewire use Java as its underlying component. -
I installed Limewire and started it up but did not download any music. I had no problems or glitches. Now I dont have Limewire but I have Frostwire. It consumes less space on the HDD and essentially is the same as Limewire.

Limewire isn't compatible with Aero and thus reverts to basic theme mode. No problem 'cause Limewire works anyhoo.. I love the black theme of Limewire.. closest theme to Vista!

Download the latest version of Limewire as it plays nicely with the Aero theme. I'm running Limewire 4.14.4 and I don't experience any graphical problems like I used to before downloading the newer version.
