well...hmm...if limewire does decide to not do what ppl use limewire for (aka download illegally) then i guess im goin with bearshare. so doesnt rly matter to me what happens...
-
Huh, interesting. Doesn't really affect me much though...I stopped using Limewire long ago. I really don't like it anymore. Every search you make results with "Steven Spielberg gets a hilarious prank phone call!" type files, which are most likely infested with spyware.
-
Well, we saw what happened to napster. Is it gonna work? I think not. Torrents, on the other hand already are legit. I've gotten both the original install and the expansion of silkroad (free mmorpg) through the companies own torrent and Ahead distributes nerp Trials and re-downloads of registered products through torrents.

Yeah, poor napster. I don't use limewire. Just torrents. Has anyone heard of Frostwire? It's just like Limewire.
-
Using gnutellea? I pity the fool...
-
Sell outs!
Aren't Bearshare protected? -
Azureus for the effing win!
-
Meh Torrents for me. Torrents are more secure(in the sense that it's harder to track and masks the information transfers) and faster.
-
Yeah and most torrent sites, especially torrentspy.com have a large commenting community so your warned beforehand if there are any viruses in the torrent.

Yeah torrentspy is great.

File sharing is bad.... it is illegal. I would never think of such things. I love government...
::Shifty eyes:: -
well i just uninstalled limewire and im gonna try frostwire so lets see how it goes...
-
torrents are great, I've downloaded loads of legitimate open source software using it s well as great music by aspiring artists.
-
Torrents took over the Gnutella network anyhow.
-
Limewire is a legit program, it's the users that decides what to share. Limewire won a case because of this.
-
guns don't kill people, bullets (people) kill people!
-
"well the Gun helps. I just think just standing there going, "Bang!" That's not going to kill too many people, is it? You'd have to be really dodgy on the heart to have that… ( imitates gunfire noises ) I think they should just try that, you know."
-
^^ someone has been watching my favorite brittish stand-up comedian
-
Yup. You gotta love Eddie Izzard, Executive transvestite.
-
No! As someone who has been living in the US watching guns kill about 500 people a year in my city alone. If it was not so sad it might be funny! In the US I think over 10,000 are killed, in Europe in total I think under 1,000 Anyway back to Lime Wire!
-
I just use Frostwire. No crap search results, no viruses!
-
Back to the subject of torrents and LimeWire...
If you want to download one song, you're not actually going to look on a torrent site, are you? -
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso

Well sometimes with torrents you can select a whole album and if it's not a compressed zip or rar file, you can just uncheck the songs you don't want.
But YES, P2P is still faster at downloading single songs.
Limewire going Legit?
