ok, wat i have is a custom OS cd made by nlite. the drivers i have on it like the lan driver, video and sound driver r the ones im looking 4, on my vista they r already on the disc. it took me 4ever 2 find them last time and i 4got where i found them and i dont want 2 search 4ever 2 find them again. ok, so when i installed my vista, i never needed 2 find my drivers online cuz they were on the disc. wat im trying 2 figure out is where on the disc they r located

First of all, it would help enormously if you would type properly. Have you tried going through the device manager, upgrading the drivers, and searching the CD for drivers from there?

If you could make a custom nlited disc, then searching for drivers won't be an issue. Don't waste time here.

you dont understand wat im trying, i think u dont know wat you are talking about. ive made my disc, thats obvious, but wat im trying 2 do since my drivers r on my comp, i want 2 take all the drivers for everything from my xp pro and vista discs, 2 put them on another disc so i can see if they work in other comps i cant find the drivers 4. u know, like replacement drivers, its possilbe u know. it works just incase u didnt know.

The easiest way would be to forget about retrieving that old drivers. If you burn the discs using Driver Packs then every driver imaginable will be preloaded onto the disc making it universal. It also gives you the option to copy all the drivers onto the hard drive post-install so if you ever change your hardware, the driver will already be there and install itself.

I'm not sure about a direct method as you want... I have no clue where nlite puts the drivers into the disc. Try driverpacks.

    And good luck :) .
