This program is great. It has advanced facial recognition software. Basically if you sit down in front of your computer, your computer will unlock. As soon as you get up and move away the computer will lock again.

Check it out you guys will surely like it.

Its awesome until the time the face recognition fails :p, and you'd be locked out of your own PC.

It has a field on the bottom where you can enter your password.

    Just in case.

I printed an 8 x 10 picture and held it up to the camera at varying distances, it did not unlock the computer.

However when I put my face in front of the web cam the computer was unlocked.

That is one cool piece of tech...

Very nicely implemented, and with laptops (most of which have webcams nowadays) very handy.

It's not. It's only when you lock your compy it turns on the cam. And then it shuts it down (the camera) after 5 min.

Actually, that's not really true, it has to keep checking that you are sat in front of the computer, default is set to 60 seconds I think it is, but... it will keep checking if you are there.

It locks when your computer is not used. It uses Xp's built in lock functionality, just changing the logon screen. I tested it, I didn't use it while still sitting in front of the camera. It locked

Thei issue here is the use of battery. If the software keeps checking if you're there to lock the computer it will take a bit of a drain in teh battery to power the webcam. It should be more like you lock the computer when you go pee and when you want back in, then they check it. This become inefficent for gamers because if they needed to go to the bathroom quick... their lappie is gonna just shut down the game and wait for him to come back.

That's what happens, it locks automatically. It doesn't check to see if you're there to lock. When you haven't used your computer (using input devices) for a time, it'll. You can specify the lock time yourself. When playing video (non-fullscreen), it'll lock. The game will be on in the background (not suspended). It's possible to disable locking without shutting off the compy.

Well if stay in front of your computer and set the lock time to 10s the web cam will turn on at 10s and try to scan your face if its you it wont lock even if your not touching the computer, of course if it cannot read your face for whatever reason then it will lock itself.

It will lock after 10s of no usage no matter what. So don't move your mouse or touch you keyboard and it will lock after the specified time. Then it will be at the logon screen and try to scan you face. You can also set the time it shuts off the camera after it's on the logon screen.

If your directly in front of the camera you will see that it turns on, it will scan your face, if its you, it wont lock the computer, regardless of whether you are touching it or not.

You don't need a windows password. If you don't have one, just leave it empty. Just remember that you can just log in without a password even if your face isn't recognized.

Mine doesn't, It will lock after 10s if I move away from the PC, if I stay sat in front (even not doing anything) then it scans to check I'm there, but doesn't lock, if I leave it untouched for 5 minutes it locks (because that's what windows has as the inactivity lock time).

weird, mine locks (I've set it 300s of no input) then scans. Could it have to do with the camera make? Anyways, this way is perfect for me. Just how i want it to be.

    SWEET!!!! Works pretty nice.

The first time it fail to work, most likely because my head was tilted at profile. I delete that model and created a new one with a good shot of my face look right at the cam. Worked flawless ever since.

I rather if there was a hotkey to show password input instead of it being shown by default.

It seems very sensitive, so probably not. It's nothing like the complex professional face recognition stuff the authorities use. The professional one use bone structure and more. Even guys who had plastic surgery get caught by the FBI using face recognition.

Cool program. Only thing i see wrong with it is that I need good lighting and have to be about the same distance from the camera everytime. Very useful though. Bout time they made something for us lazy people. Swiping my finger was so much work.

Problem is that it doesn't quite work. My friends profile (from a dsitance) apparently looks like my face, so it unlocks the computer. We look NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING alike.

I think you need to get a better model. One closer to the computer. I haven't had anyone else unlock it. My dad, girlfriend, and two of my friends were unable to lock it.

Oh and I like the ALT + L lock. Very easy and fast
