I have found a really old post about this here but it was no help. Also googled it but didn't find too much help. Whenever I shutdown my computer this error will popup - dwwin.exe - DLL initialization failed. I read somewhere that SetPoint and Kaspersky will conflict and cause this (don't know if this is true, I have both and have no intent on getting rid of either one). But it seems that this was a very common problem people have been having with Logitech's SetPoint.. which makes me think that Kaspersky is not the problem. there were suggestions to change things in the registry keys, which people say solved the dwwin.exe error message but caused other errors. my SetPoint is updated to the most current version. I am running vista 32bit and have a MX Revolution mouse.

My mistake. The error does not say anything about dwwin. it says "The instruction at 0x71dd3dfc referenced memory at 0x106a360c. The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate the program." This error pops up at every shut down or restart

Wild guess here, but corrupt driver files, HDD physical problems and bad RAM could be the culprit as well. Have you done a scandisk and memtest to rule out the last two?

You would have to run the memory test from a cd or your diagnostics section that came with you machine; either hidden partition or BIOS. You can also go to memtest.org or memtest86.com.

Did this error begin after you installed setpoint? If it did then uninstall it and then disable the AV and reinstall it after reboot.

I use both setpoint and kaspersky and i have no problems with it so it cant be a compatibility issue.
