    Which 3rd party Power Management Software that works with XP and latest Notebook Core 2 Duo (T9600)?

    If the laptop brand/model does not offer one that support the OS, then you can try to look for support from the processor driver - if available.

    None of the above? then leave it to XP, for better or for worse.

    It's not just about the processor. I want the one that can control brightness, turning off usb/firewire and optical drive, changing color depth and of course throttling down clock speed. All in one package. The VAIO Power Management has all those features with Vista but nothing like that for XP. The one they supply for XP doesn't work :mad:
