    Whats a good converter?

I googled for one but I dont trust half of the stuff that shows up since I never heard of it and its "shareware" or "freeware" so maybe it will do something mean like only convert half a track or something dumb like that.

Never tried it, but WinAmp can play FLAC and can convert to MP3 either through its own encoder or through the LAMEOut plug-in.

I have winamp and yes the newest version plays .flac nativity without downloading the plugin. I have used winamp to convert .wma into .mp3 in the past had to go to the output codec and set it from there I think.

Gonna go the winamp route and from that link to the codec I found this: http://www.free-codecs.com/out_lame_download.htm

Its the lame out plug in for winamp.

dB PowerAmp converts anything to anything. I think it will turn apples into oranges as well. I swear by it.

I used the winamp route it worked perfectly, just the naming got sort of messed up but it only took a minute to fix. I did a high quality varible bit rate on them and they sound great. Already made a CD with the MP3's and really enjoying my new lightscribe burner.

dBpoweramp requires plugins for some of the advanced codecs. E.g. WMA 10 Professional.

But since the plugins are free anyways, i think, it's not an issue.
