Looking for a MP3 recorder that will record from my soundcard. I remember seeing one that will actually cut files when it senses a gap in play. Free is always nice, but if the price is right and the program rocks, then buying is not a problem. Must record in MP3, or some other type of compression, and maybe an editor that will work with MP3 format.

Total Recorder. $20. My personal favorite. Audacity. With LAME encoder. Free. MP3 Direct cut for chopping MP3 streams into individual cuts. Also free.
