    Hey,

I dont know if this even exists but might as well give it a shot :p

I am looking for a program that, if you give it an input music file, it will be able to correctly decipher the notes. I dont mind paying for such a program. This should (if it exists that is) be good at picking up the frequency of the singers and the paino/harmionum in an environment of accompanying instruments.

    Thanks,
    Vedya

melodyne gets praised as "audio to midi" transformator that works. no clue how good it works on a full track, but for example for the noted situation of guitar chord recognition it should work well.

it does note recognition and presents them just like if it would be some midi pattern, from this, you could then write down/extract/save-as-midi-reload-in-a-noteviewer do what ever to get the notes out.

but i have no first hand experience on it yet.
