Right now im on an asus g1s with a hot gpu. the cpu stays quite cool, around 55c idle. the gpu on the other hand is around 90c idle.

I noticed when the cpu heats up, the fan blows harder, and when the fan blows hard, the gpu temps go down a good 5-10c.

what i need is a software that, thru windows, gives me direct control of my cpu fan so i keep that thing on high.

    thanks!

I can help you modify the dsdt in your registry. This may give you access to the fan code, so you can set whatever speeds you want.

But before we go ahead with that, you may want to try a program called speedfan.

Speedfan does allow you to change fan speeds, thus the title, so something is up on your end. Check your bios, I know Asus has an option to enable/disable fan control on some desktop motherboards, perhaps it's the same on your notebook.

as far as i know, the bios usually control the fans on a laptop so they cant be changed, unless the manufactor made it possible (like Dell)
