I am looking for software that will allow me to copy youtube and other video/audio clips to dvd for playback? Is this possible to do? Would you have to make a dvd menu to select the video or just drag and drop after converted. I tried vixy really quick once and got the audio but didn't see the video not sure if the computer I was on had appropriate software to play file? Any help is appreciated.

With Firefox there's an add-on called Unplug. It's a neat little extention, but you may need VLC media player to open the saved videos.

RealPlayer 11 Beta rips the youtube video's and saves to a .flv format.

From there, you can convert the .flv into .avi (or other format) and then burn it onto a DVD.

I vaguely remember myself converting .flv's, try Googling '.flv converter' a bunch of apps will come up.

RealPlayer 11 is really something though :D,

You can go to www.keepvid.com to copy the video from youtube and other site similar. Make sure you have a direct link to the video you wanted (youtube make it easier)

After downloading the file, give the file an .flv extension and install either vlc or flv player to watch the file. As for conversion...you can try what PheonixFX suggested or what keepvid offers.

Actually, in RealPlayer you can right click the .flv file and it has the option to copy to a DVD or CD burner.

I would test it out but I'm currently out of CDs.. :(

Has anyone used one of these programs and actually burned a youtube size video to a dvd and played it? I am curious as to the size it is on your screen?
if you plaed it back on a 7 inch screen is it going to be a 2inch X 2inch square in the corner?
