Hey everyone, I'm just curious to where I can find a large supply of FREE software for Macs, including anti-virus, a word program, a firewall, ect. Everything and anything, also what are some good ones that I can get for free?

    It's a Mac, you don't need antivirus.

Well, OS X has an excellent firewall, and if you want to monitor outgoing traffic, nothing beat Little Snitch.

OpenOfiice has a good word processor.

As for other software, Adium is the best IM client I have ever used, Transimission is a very simplw straightfoward bit-torrent client. Firefox. Also, make sure you find Activity Monitor in Application>Utilities and move it to the Dock. It is the Ctrl-Alt-Del equivilant for OS X. Oh and make sure you have a look at Automator, it is amazing and included in OS X. In fact, most things you need are included in OS X, so be sure you thoroughly look through all the applications and play with them. Terminal can come in handy too if you need the command line. Good luck!
