I saw a screenshot of someone with the perfect widget. It displayed temps and the clocks of the graphics card and CPU. I should have acted then and there because now I can't find the image. Does any one know what this widget or a similar one is?

If you want just temps without obtrusion, check out CoreTemp or RealTemp. Both display core temps in the system tray.

    you need lavalys everest.

you frequent the Gateway sub-forums and i'm guessing what you want is what you saw from my screenshot.

download everest and configure it to display in Vista/Win7 sidebar. It's practically got sensors for every detectable PC component it can find.

Yeah Hello Moto that was the one I had seen. It's too bad it is $50 (although it lets you subscribe to other stuff to make it free but I'm a little afraid of that.) I'm totally against stealing software too ever since I discovered that RMClock and RivaTuner went out of business and don't work that well any more (especially RivaTuner). Obviously the donation model doesn't work. I'm sure if enough people payed for software it wouldn't all be so expensive or free outdated crap.
