    Hey Guys,

I'm trying to put some movies on my newly purchased Microsoft Zune 80gb Media Player (Happy Birthday to me :D). However, it does not appear to play .avi's. All the conversion programs I've found actually have to play the movie, and I don't really trust that. Are there any that can just flat convert .avi to .wmv?

Any conversion from a lossy format to a lossy format will always be lossy.

your movies will be downsized to a smaller resolution anyway so it will still look good

download a program called SUPER converter. does alot of different formats, just a little hard to use if you dont know what your doing

it actually has a pre-set formats for Zune/PSP/iPOD

EDIT have a look here http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/7154/zunedk7.jpg

You just need to set the Bitrate for Video/Sound for quality. Of course the higher, the bigger size.
