Sticker is missing. Upgraded to W10. Recovery partition not working.
Need to downgrade to W7 due network adapter issue
used jelly bean. Gave me an invalid Product Key. Also ran batch file. Same.
Lenovo did not help.

If your laptop was sold with W7 it probably has an SLP key as well. You need a different key and a certificate.
Here's a short instruction, you might need to uninstall the current key first.

If absolutely nothing else works, you can always pick up a cheap gray-market key.

SLP keys are a Windows 7 users dream when it comes to reinstalling and activating anything from the big brands that was sold with it from the start. All you need is a folder added to the Windows 7 installer USB drive and the key and the certificate gets installed automatically, and activated. You NEVER have to keep track of any keys, and you don't even need internet to activate.
Too good to be true, for various reasons, and that's why it isn't used in later versions.Last edited: Feb 27, 2019 -
I took off the sticker with the Windows 7 Product key and can not find it. I want to download the ISO to reinstall Windows 7 due to hardware issues after installing Windows 10.
Lenovo could not help me. Their Windows product key is an OEM and and can not be used to download that ISO.
The recovery partitions no longer work.
What are my options?Last edited: Mar 17, 2019Mr. Fox likes this. -
Probably this... https://www.kinguin.net/category/13816/windows-7-professional-oem-key-sp1/ ...least hassle and inexpensive.
I have purchased OEM versions of Windows 7 Pro, Ultimate, Windows 8.X and Windows 10 Pro keys from Kinguin and they always work flawlessly.Papusan likes this. -
The issue is the Upgrade to W10 from W7 by EULA is set where after the downgrade time W10 product key becomes the bound key to the hardware. Purchasing a new key is your best option, I have done the same as Mr Fox links too.

Check the first link I posted. If you run into issues, just ask me.
Edit: Sorry, I misread your post. I'll get back to you. -

- Check your PM.
- Unpack the zipfile, don't mind the readme text files
- Move it to /sources in your Windows 7 installer
- Use the installer as usualLast edited: Mar 24, 2019JWBlue likes this. -

When using the Helioc download tool I am receiving the error message
"Product ID 87 is unsupported".
I was able to download the Windows ISO on another computer and received this message when trying to copy it to a USB stick.
"Item not found." "This is no longer located in (Folder location where downloaded".).
It seems to have disappeared. -
I downloaded a Windows ISO. I want to copy it to a USB to bring to another computer.
I am receiving the following error message:
Item Not Found
Could not find this item.
This is no longer located in (Folder). Verify the item's location and try again.
The file is listed in the Quick Access folder but when I go to the folder itself it is not listed.Last edited: Mar 19, 2019 -
If it's not in the actual folder where you downloaded it, maybe it didn't finish. I'd try to download it again or search for it on the filesystem, maybe it's somewhere else. I wouldn't rely on the windows quick access...
Also, maybe compare the checksum of the file if it's available where you download it from, to make sure it's complete and not corrupted. -

Is it ok to post the link to the file here so someone that follows me can do the same thing? -

Done.
This works only if your computer was sold with Windows 7, this is not a crack.
Works with about 80 brands, including most of the big ones. If the installer can't find the correct file you'll end up with an unactivated installation.
Just remember that I did not create this folder, I downloaded it years ago from MDL. All I've done is deleting all brand specific logo pictures, that's why \MULTIBRAND_OEM'S is empty.
- Unpack the zipfile, don't mind the readme text files
- Copy the $OEM$ folder to /sources in your Windows 7 installer, see picture
- Use the installer as usual
