On Vista 32bit, my score were great for this machine. Now, on Seven 32bit, this is what I get.
CPU + RAM are VERY VERY low compared to what they used to be.
CPU : Core 2 Duo T8300 @ 2.40Ghz
Ratings:
PROCESSOR : 2.3
MEMORY : 2.9
Both were over 5.0 on Vista.
Btw, this is a Dell Inspiron 1720.
Any ideas?? Thanks

Was it plugged in when you ran the test?
-
But I still suspect something around Intel's Speed Step.... -
reinstall Wind 7 and this time do a 64bit install.
-
Do you have the latest drivers for Win7?
-
WEI numbers are rather meaningless. They deliver different values on identical hardware. The more important question is, have you noticed or measured any performance losses in W7?
-
Bog nailed it, unless you personally noticed a drop in peformance, I wouldn't bother with it, nothing but marketing.
-
Still, they are a tad low. I mean, my low-mid range 3650 gets a 6.1 for gaming.

if they are low and shouldn't be, then somethings wrong with the installation, which helps thus pointing this out prior to him having an actual issue. see, they're not meaningless, then.
update all your drivers, it might help. and when rerunning it, check that nothing else is going on. just start win7, wait maybe some minutes (off the net), start it and get something to drink. -
I will continue my researches, but will try a "real" benchmarking tool tonight. And a few games as well. I don't erally care about the numbers, as long as the experience is there.
Thanks again for the input. -

well, the numbers will get more and more important, as applications start to use it more and more to determine pathways that are more simple, or more high fidelity, depending on those..
