This is a blessing to older machines that can't run YouTube properly.
Especially the ones with weak CPUs.
My AMD-based Toshiba comes with an E-350,a 2011 netbook CPU that apparently is even weaker than a C2D from 2007.

 

And, use this to cut off Youtube and Facebook ad's, I find it makes browsing much quicker and the tabs hang less often waiting for content on older hardware.

And, don't forget to click the "Block 60fps video" box in h264ify options:

 

You need to check your gpu usage with and without h264ify to make sure it`s actually working.

Use GPU-Z to check gpu usage, if it does not show in Windows 10 Task Manager.

I have 2 old atom and 1 amd low power mini desktops, so i am constantly looking for ways to save valuable cpu and memory.

An Intel 330 1.6ghz, and Intel D525 1.8ghz and one with an AMD E2-1800 APU 1.7ghz

There is an app called Process Lasso that stops high cpu processes from slowing your pc to a stop by reducing it`s priority level, also you can set games and video players to high priority to make video`s play smoother and games have higher fps.

Is there any way to OC these old AMD CPUs?

 

My AMD E2-1800 is locked from what i have read, I can under-clock it, but not over-clock, you would have to do a search the specific processor model, also motherboard and firmware affect if over-clocking is possible as well.

The AMD E-350 is a Brazos CPU.
I have heard there is a tool called "Brazos Tweaker" that will do the OC stuff.
I tried the Overdrive but it gave me a BSOD everytime it starts up or I open it.

 

Looks like the E-350 might be overclockable.

He had a gigabyte motherboard and gigabyte is built to overclock

One guy tried an old app called speedfan and thinks he overclocked to 2.4ghz, but it was most likely cpu-z giving a false frequency.
