This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Oh well back to vista people...

    (I do not hate vista as it is my Primary OS and I have a second Version as a backup, also XP MCE YAY For tri-booting!!!)

    I was just wondering, since OEMs can continue to install Windows XP until 30 Jun 2010, and extended support is available for SP3 until 8 Apr 2014. That's why I asked if this thread was just flamebait.

    It's important to spell M$ with three K's, lots of dollar signs, and it is -SHAFT not -SOFT.

    I am going to close this thread before it gets further out of hand(and before the XP or Vista fanboys start bickering).

    Please do research before making any decision whether its deciding on what Operating system to use or what computer to buy.
