one of the radio stations I internet stream gives me a choice between MP3 stream(.pls) and MP3 Stream(.m3u)
MP3 stream(.pls) they say is to be used with either
1. iTunes (don't have),
2. Quick Time (isn't that a pretty much "take-over everything" program that is not a good idea to use? I have a problem getting rid of it on my ASUS though I don't seem to have it on my HP),
3. Real Audio (I assume that means Real Player --nuff said about not using that) and
4. WinAmp (I also have a sense that takes over the computer as well... it has taken over another station's video stream.)
MP3 Stream(.m3u) they say is to be used with either
1. Windows Media Player
2. Real Audio.
Is there a difference in quality between the 2 streams .pls and .m3u?
Is there a difference in quality of sound between the players?
What do people think about what player to use. I guess I have decided against Real Player for anything, and I try to stay away from anything iPod.
So that leaves me with either .pls and either Quick Time or WinAmp or .m3u and windows Media Player.
What are people's thoughts?
