The favorites open and pin to the right. It just makes me want to jump in the screen and beat up the application. We are, as English readers, all trained to read from left to right, the same with listing hierarchal structures. This is just super counter intuitive. What were they thinking?
Long story short, Edge is dead to me until this fixed and/or the next issue is found beyond that.

I wouldn´t use Edge as a main browser until the fall, when at least Add-Ons are going to be added...
Until then, its still Opera for me. Edge is just missing too much right now. -
I still use IE11 but am thinking of going with FF.
-
Why anybody would want to use a half-finished browser is a mystery to me in any case. It's not like there's not at least a dozen fully-featured and free alternatives out there, and, yes, that includes IE11.
-
Can't play YouTube videos in minimize mode like I can with FF or Chrome.

At the moment Edge doesn't even give you the chance to change the default search engine, even if the option is there. I hate to be forced to use Bing. So i'm still using Chrome.

I haven't really tried edge so far. I took a quick look at it and I like the concept behind it, but like Windows 10, there will still be a ton of kinks to work out. I mostly use O0pera 12 still, but am slowly migrating to Firefox and IE11. Firefox for the add-ons and personal browsing, IE for research.
I am not a fan of chrome, in part because every time I go to downlkoad an update to Adobe software using IE it's forced down my throat if I don't untick it during install. That behavior is way too reminiscent of the Ask toolbar and McAfee.
One thing I expect Edge to do very well though is hardware acceleration which in my experience, IE does best on Windows.
As strange as that may seem, I'd rather use Bing than google for some things, sometimes it feels like google is filtering search according to what it thinks I'm looking for and I'm missing on some stuff that might be useful. I'm thinking of just switching to duckduckgo.
I'm betting that comes from remnants of IE Metro version. I hated that locking a device would stop youtube playback on the metro version of IE. -
It does give you the option. You need to go on Google.com then change it
-
It does; I've changed my default search engine to Google. I don't have my Win10 machine in front of me at the moment, so I can't walk you through step-by-step, but I know it's possible to change the default search provider.
-
I like Chrome better in a desktop environment, but on a tablet (or convertible in tablet mode), Edge has smoother, more inertia-feeling scrolling and more touch-friendly controls.
-
Even on an tablet that right drop down of favorites to me is a deal breaker!
-
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your complaint, but don't Chrome and Firefox also have their bookmark menus on the right side of the screen?
-
Chrome has it at the top under the search box
-
Chrome has the bookmarks bar under the search bar, but the "other bookmarks" drop-down menu is on the right side of the screen, and as far as I can tell, can't me moved elsewhere.
Edge has a favorites bar under the search bar ( it's hidden by default but can be turned on) and a full list of your favorites in a menu the right side of the screen. -

I use a different browser, that is not the issue. The issue is Edge stinks and most mom and pops out there will never be able to get rid of it.

Do not use chrome, and I would hate that too. I have chrome, again do not use it. I just tried it out, no pin option I can see but right, hate it too.Last edited: Aug 5, 2015

Hmmmm, Copy/Paste (via ctrl+c/v) don't work in Google Docs in Edge.
-
Adblock/Adblock Plus/uBlock are the biggest omissions.
