I am in the market to buy MS Office 2007 (Home and Student Edition). I obviously want a low price but I want it to be the CD version not just a download.![]()
Here's where I need your help: I am currently a student so I have a .edu e-mail address, but my school doesn't offer discounts directly through them.![]()
So are there any sites that could reliably ship me a copy of Home and Student Edition Office 2007 without costing me an arm and a leg? And is there any way I could get a discount with my .edu e-mail?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.![]()

Well it seems that the Ultimate Steal site is down atm and not back up until the 20th.
The others were great site too, but the best price I have found so far is through Dell for $89.99 shipped (3 Computer License)... -
Sometimes MS will have specials for people with .edu emails. Watch for it when school usually starts.
-
I would suggest getting something higher than Home and Student. It will still be cheap with your education discount, and Outlook 2007 is DEFINITELY worth a little extra.
-
Yep, Outlook is worth extra, by far.

I am a student and got the Ultimate Steal. 60$ for office Ultimate. Can't beat it if you are a student. I would wait for it, if possible. You get twice the software for a fraction of the price.
-
Word 2007 is good but highly priced
-
Um, the 20th is only six days away... why don't you just wait for that? Last year they offered Office Ultimate 2007 for $60 and it was the best software purchase I've ever made. While there is no official announcement saying they will offer Office again this year, it would be worth waiting to see if they do.

Yeah, that's what I am thinking about doing. I don't start class until September so waiting isn't that big of a deal.
-
Office seems way overpriced...unless you're a student. I got mine for $9

Ok... well thanks for sharing that, but I'd rather you gave me information to HELP ME not just rub in my face an offer a different school offers. Thanks. -
HAHAHAAH
Sorry bud. What school are you going to

heh ya. No worries I wasn't actually upset I was just trying to make a point to see if you could actually help me find something cheaper than that. lol
I'm up at Michigan Tech btw... -
Really now? I have a friend that is going there...and its pretty surprising they don't offer it...Hopefully some of those sites work.

Yeah I was surprised as well.
I hear that sometimes they have deals but not all the time, and nowhere to download through them.
So yeah I'll probably wait for Ultimate Steal to get back up unless I find something better (and yes, it must be legal lol)...
