Yeah, that's the Office "Ultimate Steal" deal that's been available for a long long time. It's a great deal compared to retail costs of the package.

Office 2010 has a way to go before it is released, so if you like Office 07's interface, there's nothing not to like about it - if you need it, get it. Office 2010 will not be as radical a change as Office 03 to Office 07.

And there's no such thing as "Office XP". Are you referring to Office 2003 or Office 2000?

Before making the purchase, check with your school to see if they offer any similar deals. Some US colleges/universities offer free Micro$oft software to their students.

Yes, there is a product called Office XP (Office 10.0). It came after Office 2000 (Office 9.0) and before Office 2003 (Office 11.0). It is also known as Office 2002.

Is this deal (Ultimate Steal) only good for US students? I already have Office 2007 myself and like it a lot but my sister would like to have it on her laptop and this looks like a good deal but she's in Canada (Student).

    EDIT:

Never mind, I just noticed you can change countries on the top.

Unless your University offers software for cheaper or for free, this is the best deal on Office 2007 Ultimate for students. I don't think Office 2010 is worth waiting for, because then you'd have to do just that - wait. Besides, there is no guarantee they'd update the deal with 2010. If you need it now, get it now.
