    If I purchase the full 2007 version, retail price $399, can I install and use it on both my laptops? Thanks.

    Yea usually a cd comes with like 3 licenses on it so u can put it on 3 comps.

    Office is licensed for use on two machines. They did this for people who have a desktop and a portable.

    Yes. A portable is a machine. You can use it on up to 2 or 3 computers, be they desktop or notebook or whatever. I'm not sure of the actual number of computers in the license terms, though.

    It's two: one computer + one "portable" computer (they use the word portable in the license).

    They do sell those "home license packs" or whatever that are for 3 or 5.
