Still using MS Office 2003 or 2007?
MS is discontinuing the Compatibility Pack that lets you open the newer .docX, .xslX, and .pptX formats using the older office versions. Grab the installer now before MS takes it down off their site.

Or install Office 2016 or 2013 to use the newer extension and be backward compatible. I doubt MS could take it off the site someone will download the files and have it somewhere else. In this digital age nothing goes gone.

True. actually I'm betting all they do is take the link down and change the page. I've been able to get some MS files they took down by using the wayback machine.

You'll get the updates mostly likely from them from some time but they will turn it off it's not if but when.
