Can I enable the option to click on links from received emails directly? Thanks.

Every time I click on links within Outlook, it says that "the operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer. Please contact the system administrator."

    Thanks a lot in advance.

Is this in a work environment or on your personal laptop?

I don't think you can change that - on any "normal" Outlook installation the link opens when you click on it. (I should know using Outlook at home) - from this I deduct that it was disabled on a computer you got from work?

You can try looking in the Outlook options - but I think there won't be a way.

Doesn't change anything - mine is - and a long time ago Opera too.

it happens when you use non-MS softwares to open the hyperlinks.

    read this: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/orkXP/HA011362671033.aspx

u ll have to access registry and change some entries.

    try this:
This behavior can occur if the Inetcpl.cpl file is missing from the Windows \System or %SystemRoot%\System32 folder or if a restriction is set on the NoBrowserOptions Windows registry value.

To resolve this issue, use the following methods in the order that they are presented.

Method 1: Extract a new copy of the Inetcpl.cpl file
Extract a new copy of the Inetcpl.cpl file from the Internet Explorer distribution files or reinstall Internet Explorer.

For more information about how to extract files, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
129605 How to extract original compressed Windows files

If this method does not resolve the behavior, go to Method 2.

    Method 2: Modify the registry

If Method 1 did not resolve the problem, modify the registry:
Click Start, click Run, and then type regedit in the Open box.
Locate the following key in the registry:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/Policies/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/Restrictions
If a value called NoBrowserOptions exists, delete it.
    Restart the computer.

If this method does not resolve the behavior, go to Method 3.

    Method 3: Repair Internet Explorer
If Method 2 does not resolve the behavior, repair Internet Explorer

I found this same problem after uninstalling Safari and Maxthon and seemed like the registry was messed up after. Re-installing these programs the links worked again. Apparently Outlook is tied to IE for links. Your default browser should be IE.
