    I just notice that my dell inspiron does not have ms paint(it comes with windows xp). Is this normal and how can I activate it?

    Bring the Run from Start->Run.
    Type in MsPaint.This should establish whether the paint exists or it's just the link that is broken.

    nope, it says windows cannot find mspaint

    It isn't there because MSPaint is not installed. You need to go into Add/Remove programs in control panel and then click windows components and find Paint under Accessories. However, I would much rather recommend a program such as http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html
