    With Office I had 22 updates 227MB.

1 MS Office update gives me an error. Cleared update history and cache and installed the update manually by downloading it. It still is detected as a required download even though it's already installed. Stupid updates.

xp + w7 + w8, all went seemingly very well. As always here, a great job done by MS.

Actually, there is an issue with a bunch of MS Office security updates, specifically KB 2760411, KB 2760588, and KB 2760583 that are parts of the MS13-072 and MS13-073 security patches for Office 2007. There are tons of reports of the patches being offered and re-offered endlessly. You get a message that the update has been installed successfully, but then it is being offered again. I just decided to hide the update for now. Hopefully a fix will be offered soon.

My office 2007 security patches seemed to work OK. But I know how you feel. I am still getting those Bing toolbar updates but I ignore them. I have forgotten how to hide update notifications that I don't want installed. There used to be a link for hiding updates but that's gone. (Win 7)

This Tuesday was the first time the bing desktop update didn't show. It used to show at every new version, hopefully, it'll stay hidden for good.

Don't hold your breath. Knowing Microsoft, they may try to sneak it in with a "required" update somewhere down the road.

If you bring up optional updates, Bing should show up, then right click and you should see copy details & Hide ... (Win 7 Home SP1)
I have 1.2 and 1.3 in the "hidden" area
