This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     MSN Windows Live Messenger on Windows 7 - Keeps Crashing

    Honestly I'm getting so pissed off right now, MSN has been crashing for the last couple weeks, sometimes very frequently (intervals of less than a minute) and sometimes does not crash.

    Basically it just freezes and then starts using up to 80% of my CPU, making everything else lag...

    I've uninstalled and reinstalled the messenger several times already. :mad:

    Anyone know a solution?

    I'm on W7 professional.

    Msn is running 24/7 on mine with no issues so far, using compatibility mode though, set to Vista sp2.

    Its not in compatibility, I had it at xp and vista before too, also crashed.

    Try reinstalling it ? Since it works fine with most people it seems theres an issue with your version.
