The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    MSN messenger and firefox

    I have another question about firefox. I use msn messenger and it let's you check your hotmail email account but it opens the link with internet explorer. I have firefox as my main browser and i want to know if it's possible to make the msn messenger open my email with it. thanks

    I don't think there is a way to get around this. I think msn messenger is coded to open only IE. Maybe try Trillian which supports msn messenger and trillian should direct email to your default browser I would think. I don't use msn messenger but I do you aol IM and yahoo messenger. I use Trillian for my "all in one" chat program. Try it and let us know what you find out.

    There is a plugin for msn plus that lets you open the page in your default browser.
