Hi all, I purchased Windows Vista Ultimate through the intel Retail Access bundle, and I recieved two product keys, each seperate for x86 and x64. I don't know if installing both of them on different machines would violate my license. I actually just want to install 32bit on my desktop since my pc only supports 32bit, and a friend of mine wants to have the other 64bit I have. Here comes my question, is this possible? I have two seperate keys so I'm thinking I could give him the other disk as well as the key for that. If anyone knows the answer, I don't wanna call Microsoft in case they might get agitated, I would appreciate.
thanks in advance.

I would install it on your main machine first, and then see what happens with you second machine. AFAIK, one key for a *retail* copy is good for x86 or x64...whichever you use first. Two keys...probably a non-issue but I'm not 100% certain in your case.

AFAIK - It might be that you could have a 100 keys, but it's only one license, so you can only install Vista on one computer. No clue about the technical stuff here - looks like it may be in your advantage to read the license agreement and/or call M$ to know for sure.

I don't have a laptop anymore, so I can't try to see if it works. At least I will install 32bit disk on my desktop but I don't know if my friend laptop with 64bit work.

If it's some kind of special promotion from Intel, and it's a retail version of the OS, then I don't see why not. Try it and let us know.

The license is one copy for one laptop/pc. But i dont know technically what will happened if you use both key. Microsoft might find or might not find it.
