I need a program that will wipe a harddrive on a macbook pro. I thought my .iso of copywipe would work but it wont boot from the disc, gives me an error message.

If there is a mac utility, will it also wipe out my windows partition on the HDD? im trading this laptop in so i need to be sure to wipe the data, and from what i hear a simple format isnt enough

Why not pop the HDD out and have a desktop zero it out? It's pretty simple to remove the MBP HDD, then just plug it into a desktop SATA port and format away... :)

Or you could use the OSX disk utility on the installation software (it comes in the box) to erase the disk.
