I have heard that Word works slowly on the Macbook Pro. That would be a deal breaker for me. Can any Macbook Pro users out there confirm that for me?

Word works fine. I dropped by the local Apple store and tried out the 15.4" 2.33 ghz MBP. Word takes 2 seconds to load.

I think Word 2007 will be a universal binary, so it would run perfectly on the MBP. As for the current version, even if it is a rosetta app, the C2D can still handle it just fine.

It does feel slower than on a PC, and eats up more processing power and battery life. But yeah, when the universal binary comes out, all is gonna be perfect.
