Ok so a friend uses mailwasher for his email, today it decided to stop receiving email as did Outlook Express, I checked a few things and the settings appeared to be as they should. Now the strange part, with the settings untouched I disabled broadband and connected via dialup as the email is freeserve (orange email) from when we were using dial up and mailwasher started to work again. Wierd, I could send email using broadband just not receive.

So I changed the pop setting from pop.orangehome.co.uk which must have been like that for yonks to pop.freeserve.com and it worked straight away. Just to make sure it wasn't coincidence I changed the setting back to orangehome and it stopped working again.

So, why could I receive with dialup and not broadband? and why is it changing the pop setting it started to work again? Its bugging me that it now works but I don't know why lol.
