    Hi notebookreview.

    I am looking for a method to encrypt my laptops SSD. It has two storage medium: an SSD and an integrated expresscache drive. I don't store sensitive info at expresscache drive.

    Since I will leave my laptop in a certain place from now on, I want it to be unaccessible in any way without my account logged in Windows, even when my pc is booted with like a Linux Live CD etc.

    Is the drive encryption right way to do this?

    There is a feature in Windows named BitLocker but it is not available for main C:, OS drive. Alsothe whole SSD has only one partition.

    Here are system details;

    Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook: Np540u3C with a Samsung Evo SSD with Windwos 10.

    Edit: I think my SSD has encryption feature but I don't know if it is the thing I want.

    Edit2: Solved. I just removed the need for TPM chip via gpedit.msc and BitLocker can be enabled with a password
