    I have not figured out why and it is consistent on every PC i've installed Windows 8 on. If you perform Disk Cleanup and purge the Windows Update prepare for some NON-STOP DISK THRASHING.

    It's been an hour and the disk light has been going NON-STOP, disk IO is between 97-100%. The only way to get it to stop is to pull the plug. If you analyze fragmentation it's a whopping 35%...ouch :rolleyes:

    I'm purposely letting it run, i'm checking task manager and there isn't anything there to indicate this sort of disk throughput.
