I am planning to do a clean install for my notebook and add the necessary software, drivers, and patches. After doing this I want to take a full disk image and burn it to DVD. I would like this DVD image to be bootable. The reason for this is so I will be able to quickly restore my computer to that point if I should need to again (which is more than likely - I'm bad at installing lots of stuff on my computer).

What software (preferably free, but I look at others to) can I use to create this disk image?

    Thanks!

Basically you would need Norton Ghost (a DOS version, like Ghost 2003 or Ghost 10) and possibly some CD/DVD burning software.
