Hello. I'm looking for free software to draft maps with. These maps are for use in fantasy games, so precise real world geography isn't needed. Ideally, I want something like these programs (though, since they appear to be the best thing out there, I don't expect to find anything so polished for free): http://www.profantasy.com/

Several notes: I'd like to make maps on a variety of scales and subjects, so large scale terrain would be good, but so would urban layout or something handling a smaller area. Also, while software for fantasy use might be nice, general purpose map software, or even something that could be used as map software (Sim City 2000 comes to mind) would be great too.

    Any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.
