This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Media Center didn't record.. pre-empted by the broadcaster ???

    I got home to find MCE did not record a show. The error in the event log was:

    But the show definitely was on at 8pm 8/23. What the heck happened here?? Anyone have any ideas?

    maybe CNN forgot to update their program listings for digital sattelite users.

    Nope.. I'm on Comcast cable. And I went to Live TV & changed to CNN, and there was the program playing as scheduled. I don't know why Media Center didn't record it!

    but Comcast is not sattelite, it is cable, would that make any difference to television programme listings?

    Comcast is cable. Doesnt' make a difference.. I am set up in Media Center with the proper Comcast listing. I've recorded shows automatically before, I don't know why it failed this time. Maybe just a fluke?
