There's a decent amount of info about this on these boards but it's pretty scattered about it seems.
What media player do you prefer and why? Also, if you use seperate players for video/audio list that.
Regardless of what you use do you have Windows Media Player, Quicktime, or RealPlayer installed on your comp?

I use Media Player Classic as it is sexy. It plays anything you throw at it too, provided you have the necessary codecs.
-
I use Winamp. Nice interface.
Tim -
I use VLC media player
-
winamp for audio
bsplayer for divx
windvd for dvd's -
Mainly use JetAudio that came with my Cowon X5 hdd mp3 player. Plays video too and has lots of features.
Anything that has more than 1 streams like a DVD rip i use VLC. -
vlc for movies, itunes for music
-
I use a program called MediaMonkey for music. There is a TV with a DVD player hooked up rite next to the computer so I don't watch movies on the computer but for little internet videos I just use windows media player. Oh I also have Rhapsody so I guess I have Real on the computer. I love the service but the Real player sucks.

Media Player Classic (MPC), fast and simple interface
-
vlc for movies, be it file or dvd.
i do not play music on my laptop (yet?),

and an ipod with most of my music in-
case i am mobile. -
For those who use MPC or VLC do you even have the big 3 media players on your comp?
Does it matter at all in terms of memory "bloat" whether or not those programs are on your computer? -
Media Player Classic for videos, Foobar2000 for audio
-
videos: media player classic; audios: winamp
-
GOM Player for videos, Winamp Lite Basic for music.
-
-
Itunes for Music
Winamp for Radio Stations/Music
VLC Media Player for DVD or any Movie - apparently runs them all! -
Definitely not Realplayer. For some reason, I notice more SPAM in my mailbox when I register.
VLC for movies
WMP for audio CDs -
BS Player plays just about anything I throw at it.
-
Winamp and BSPlayer
-
Does anyone use the built-in stuff from Media Center Edition to play music or DVDs? Or is that just Windows Media Player?
-
Am I the only one who uses Windows Media Player? lol. I tried using iTunes but I can really turn up the bass in media player which i cant do anywhere else. It makes my mediocre speakers awsome!! Without media player to crank up the base my music would be ****.
-
powerdvd / foobar (hands down best sounding player out there)
-
WMP10 and bsplayer and ITunes and PSP video 9 (for PSP) and uh..interactual and intervideo windvd (came with comp)
Thats about it oh and I have/had divx and also media player classic.
