    Gidday guys

If I have Windows media player running and insert any USB device, media player suddenly stops working, likewise, if I have a USB device attached and try to open media player it instantly comes up with media player has stopped working. This is driving me nuts, can anybody shed some light on the problem? I have Sync turned off, doesn't seem to have made any difference.

    Regards to all

That was my thought, but I read somewhere that WMP is actually "embedded" in Vista and can't be uninstalled??????????

So I guess this is Vista?

Try Control Panel > Sys & Maint > Problem Reports and Solutions. Do "Check for new solutions".

If that doesn't help... well, reinstalling Vista would probably do the trick. Or if it just started happening recently, then try System Restore.

I still think he should try the link above first. Scorched earth policies should be a last last resort.

I have no idea what the DRM locker is for too. I just happen to hit upon it while googleing your error message.
