    Hello,

I have a problem with my computer. When I open the folder "my documents", I see my memory filling itself (normally it is about 200mb) to about 1,5 gb in a minute. Since I only have 384mb memory my computer slows down (it stores the memory on the hard disk) until it isn't even possible to click the "shut down" button (that slow).

Do you know a solution? (except for: don't open the folder again). I'd be very happy if anyone could help me with this problem.

You may have a memory leak; start up XP in safe mode (by pressing F8 at boot) and remove any programs you have installed lately. This is one potential solution.

Is there a particular process with a high cpu usage while this is happening?
Does the folder have an unusually large number of files in it?

Well, the explorer.exe in the task list jumps from 30mb usage to 200mb, so that seems to be a part of the problem. And the folder contains about 12 folders filled with about 15Gb. I hope this helps.
