    Hi

I have Compaq Presario C352EA laptop. I formatted it and installed the windows vista and drivers for the vista, which were download from compaq web site..

My laptop does not have the built in mic,so i am usein the external microphone...

I am facing the problem, that my mic volume is very low even i max volume in micphone propertity.

When, i call to anyone via massenger or internet phone, they could not hear me. and If i speak loudly, they can hear little..

I don't know the reason for it...

    Anyboby please help to recover....

    Thanks in advance...

This seems to a problem a LOT of people are having with HP/Compaq notebooks. I uploaded a modified driver (to increase mic volume) for the dv6000 series in a thread here in the HP forum, but as I don't have an affected machine, I can't test if it works.

Once someone can confirm if the levels are better with my modification, I'll post directions on how to modify the driver to allow higher recording levels.

I've installed audio drivers for Xp and it worked. (downloaded from Hp website)
