I have tried on three different computers. When i click listen in the microphone properties panel i get LAG. IS THIS A JOKE? Can my 10 year old dell handle live audio better than windows 7?

Basically this OS is useless for input monitoring while you are recording....

    a) you don't tell us what kind of hardware you have
    b) you don't tell us what kind of software you are using
    c) you don't tell us what other software is loaded to your machine

and this is why message boards often suck. Idiots with no solutions who love to post anyways.

a)I said i tried three DIFFERENT computers.... the models dont matter at that point.
b)IM NOT USING SOFTWARE. I said when i click in the properties panel....
    c) I dont have much of anything on my laptop. HOw this would even matter when the issue is not tied to software is amazing to me..

BUT what is even more amazing is that you took the time to reply with

    a) no solution at all
    b) obviously didnt try the problem out yourself because you would have seen the exact same thing if you even have windows 7. This problem is all over the microsoft answers forum.
    c) Notebook diety??? really? EPIC JOKE.

    FAIL.

I had the same problem awhile back ago, I was able to fix it by installing the vista drivers.

Three different computers? Three Dell computers, three ThinkPads, three VAIOs? Or one of each. Did they all have the same sound chip manufacturer? It COULD make a big difference if we knew.

But no, rather than replying with info. You want to reply with anger. And if you bothered to even look around here you would realize that "notebook deity" is not a handle assigned by a user to themselves. It is an automatic one based on usage.

The only epic fail is between your keyboard and chair. Newposter can be quite helpful if you engage him (or her). But as was said you seem to be the expert, so you figure it out yourself. OK?
