    Hello all...

I have a question regarding the MS Office 2003 Student/Teacher Edition. I heard that you may install this software on up to 3 different computers using the same disk.

The reason I ask is that I had, in the past, purchased a cpu through Dell and within that time had purchased the Office software. Since then, the Dell is completely useless (crashed to hells end) and I've recently purchased a new Vaio laptop w/ Office 2007 (60-day trial) already installed. Well, after the trial ends, I am looking to uninstall any trail software and install the 2003 edition back onto the VAIO.

can I do this? Is the Office 2003 (Student/Teacher) able to be installed on another cpu? I looked everywhere for an answer to no avail.

    Thanks...

No, Office 2007 has the 3-use license but 2003 does not. It does though state in the EULA that you can install the same key onto one desktop (aka notebook that never leaves your desk) and one portable notebook.

Ummm... I do believe that the 2003 version is good for 3 installs. If you still have the original box (if it came with it), that's the best place to check

I remember selling a few and seeing that it had a 3 license thinger...

This is incorrect. I have Office 2003 Student/Teacher edition. I have installed it and activated the installations on two different computers. It is permitted. Here is the relevant text from my EULA:
