Hmm On the box it says it will work with XP and 2000. Since it came out before Vista I was just wondering; will it work with Vista? I don't realy want to spend another $100 on Microsoft office programs....

The new Office is in so far better that it was tidied up rather than represent a collection of add ons.

Files saved in the new format are also significantly smaller.
(Smaller than pdf even for Word)

The package would be worth its price for Word, Excel; Power Point and Outlook alone.

(I got Office home & Student for 150€ some time ago... and this summer Outlook for 150€ - could have gotten all in Englsih rather than German for 40 Pounds... :( - ah well)

Access is a database management system: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Access
If you have to ask, then you won't need it.

However, the "deal" I linked is well worth the money even if you just want Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Getting those normally via Office Home and Student costs significantly more.

Just remember you have to have a valid .edu email address in order to get the deal.

    I'd go for Office 2007.

    Much better than 2003 IMO.

I'll second that with a but:
Before Office 2007 becomes better than Office 2003 you have to get used to it.

So this will cause some initial frustration, but once you've got your head round it you'll be working faster than before.
